Wouldn't you know??  A Mother must brag, shouldn't she?  It's especially interesting to me that after many years of education, degrees and life in the Corporate world my son is discovering his artistic self before it's too late!  Too late, you say?  Never too late, you say!  I couldn't agree more.  There is just so much value contained in that "right side" of our brains that so many fail to recognize as they are wrecking havoc upon our world, way of living and sustaining.  All forms of art contribute to a more peaceful, gentle state of mind in my opinion.  Of course, we can not live by art alone.  The real world must keep on, keeping on. But would some of you agree, even the real world would reap benefits from engaging, not exclusively with their left brains, but by occasionally entering into the right brain for at least a reprieve.  Perhaps it would unwind some of those focused, tangled wires in their brains to put a kinder spin into our fast paced, greed driven, world of hate and suspicion and slow the pace to allow for more reasonable thinking.  Maybe even exercise a degree of common sense.  Now that would be a novelty in this day and age, wouldn't it?
"Less is More," can have many meanings.  Even a more simple existence can lead to more.  Less encumbrances can lead to more.
Less stress can lead to more peace and health.  I could just go on and on, but you get the jest I'm sure.  Add some of your own please.
I am proud to have children that know creativity and endeavor to express their own special form of contribution and caring.  So Son, artsy boxes need not be your soul endeavor but they can keep on being a form of learning and relaxation.  Happy creating to those that will.

This is really neat! He did a great job of it. I sent my knitting machine, yarn, pre cut spool patterns and pattern books home with Jack for him to repair and experiment with. He also took my huge new roll of batting so he can get the blankets done he had already taken the material home for. He has always been artsy and creative. In high school, for shop, he built a rowboat and a huge bookcase for me, which I still have and is full from top to bottom. In 7th the teacher required all of her students, past, present and future to crochet a granny square to pass. He made a scarf and got 1st place on it at the fair. Same with his boat.

Men have many hidden talents to find and use for creating if they haven't already.
