Let's start off with a wonderful new link!! http://www.loveofjunk.com Please scroll to bottom of page to connect link, under Others Worthy of a Peek. This one didn't work! We are so excited and have signed up to be a part of this event this year! Not sure how much handcrafted we might take, as it is a "vintage" show but does it ever appear to be fun!! Since, I love rusty, repurposing, and rustic myself and now that my son, Josh and I collaborate on weathered wooden signs, etc perhaps some of what we do will fit in. Regardless, it is an experience we are already putting our "thinking hats" on for and have our heads just full of possibilities, plus do we have "vintage?" Oh, Yeah, we have vintage! None of this would have happened if my friend Viv and her daughter, had not encouraged us to do this! They are going with fun, fun items given a new and vibrate life rather than land in a landfill! Love it, love it. The photos on the website are nothing but inspiring and the show should appeal to anyone with an appetite for what some people call "junk" while we see "treasures." Many items appear "repurposed" while many seem readily available to repurpose ourselves. That will be where the danger lies for me! How much more can I bring home?
Adams Day was a beautiful, sunshiny day and the outing was enjoyable. It is a good day for community although not necessarily a great selling venue for vendors. Unless, of course, one might have noise makers for the kids who are there to begin their Little League Season. A variety of vendors attended, some handcrafted and some commercialized. Something for everyone, so to speak.
Thus, now it's back to a let's get something done agenda. I just read an article about "starting." That's the hardest part! So, let's all say it together now.....START!
