Yes, I did.....

Yes, I did finish a couple projects--finally.  Likely, as many of the creatives that possibly read this understand,  four more are in the works.  It takes time!  Time to think, rethink, collect stuff, get the prep work done and then begin the fun part.  After the fun part begins, we have the prerogative to make changes on our initial thoughts or let the design unfold as it takes shape.  Actually,  for myself that's another fun aspect of the process.
Hamley's Western Store has sold a couple of the pine coiled items I took in at the beginning of February much to my delight.  Therefore, I was inspired to replace those for the display.  One was from stock I had previously and the new one is shown below along with a gourd not suited to western motif.  It adds to personal inventory for doing some of the local shows which will be starting soon.

Might as well show the gourd.  It actually came to life after one of those "happy
accidents."  I had cleaned the gourd sometime ago and had my husband cut it down and drill holes for pine needle coils.  Decided to use alcohol inks for the outside coloration, which sat for sometime looking like Army camouflage, making me shudder.  One day, after using some oil paint for some other idea, I picked it up and gave it a rub of vermillion red!  It looked so rosy and made me feel happy that from there it came together as the piece below.  The collaged inside matches the outside in what I felt was a complimentary manner.  Throw on some beads for accent and a found object to finalize.

Daffodils and tulips about to bloom and little johnny jump ups have jumped up to cheer on Spring.  Once it actually arrives all things will feel better, plus a different set of activity will require attention.  Of course, hopefully, the creative side will still find space to be fit in for therapy and soul fulfillment, if not satisfaction.  Wishing all a Sunshine Spring.
