Hats off to Thanksgiving

Wednesday evening (late) some of my children/grandchildren arrive for Thanksgiving.  I am delighted about the "over the river and through the woods, to Grandmother's house we go," trek they are willing to make.  Not a large crowd, but a comfortable grouping and we certainly have lots of food planned.  My son, Josh, rented a van to pick up his sister, Tammi, her husband, John and granddaughter, Erika, so they can drive over together and plan their stay at the "ole folks." Hopefully, not too many tricks will be devised to try and catch our senior moments. We already know we keep the house too hot, but we have a fan!  If anyone looks faint, we're willing to adjust the heat a tad because we care.  Grandson, Eric, possibly will either be picked up along their way, or drive up all by himself.  Be safe everyone, including whoever might read this!
Two years ago, on Thanksgiving, Tammi, John, Erika, John's cousin, Jim, Eric and friend Karly joined us and John performed our Wedding ceremony!  What a fun day and memory that turned out to be.  We had many delightful moments and good laughs.
Now, on to the hats. Usually, loosely following the adage, busy hands are 'sane' hands, during the winter I turn to knitting small items and tucking them away for later giving.  It's relaxing, and apparently, my thoughts can wander from time to time.  My family has come to expect some of these items over the years, whether they want them or not.  Anyway, that Thanksgiving evening two years ago, I happily dug out my little basket and let everyone pick out their own hat!

Note:  John's pointy hat
in the middle.  It was my
bestest!

As you can see, we had fun and for that I am truly  Thankful.
Wishing anyone out there reading this an equally nice and Thankful day, that's my little "hat's off story, and I'm "sticking to it!"
