Why I've been occupied otherwise

Well, we had ourselves a little wedding.  On my 70th Birthday, one of the nicest presents I've ever received was, Donald Records, my new husband.  We have been partners, living together, for nearly two years now after I closed the Suncatcher Studio in Milton-Freewater.
This man has taught me about trust and decency for which I shall be forever grateful.  "Better late than never," as the saying goes!
It really is handy to have a matchmaker involved in a romance and then to have an "on line minister" in the family.  We were honored to have Don's niece, Jewell, for a witness along with my youngest daughter, Tammi.  Jewell, was one of the first artists to join me at Suncatcher and we became good friends.  When "Uncle Don," lost his wife of over 50 years to long illnesses and with myself being one of those gay divorcees, she kept hounding us about needing to meet one another.  Eventually, she managed to make sure that took place....and here we are now.  The "rest of the story. "  it just so happens Tammi's husband, John, has an "on-line" (legal) minister's liscense and they were spending Thanksgiving with us---so, yes, we did, we got married right here at home with only a handful of family and our immediate neighbors present.  Unorthodox, yes; fun, most certainly.

Do I feel cherished?  Yes, for the very first time in my life!!

Look at that happy matchmaker!

Special toasts from special people.

Now, we will adventure together for the winter, before really settling down.  Cabochon equipment and paint brushes are ready to go!
