Highlights near Lone Pine, CA

We stayed at Boulder Creek RV Park with full hook-ups to catch up on a few things and see a few sites.  An extremely helpful lady at the Interpretive Center told us about the nearby Alabama Hills, worth the little side trip to see.  Many of the western movies were made using this area as a location.  The Main Highway hides these wonderful rock formations, making it appear quite ordinary until......entering.  Each view is different, many have been named, and it has the appearance of a "free for all" dump site for gigantic boulders of all descriptions!  Who would have guessed??  We miss so many things in our hurry, scurry days and by sticking to the usual, don't we?
