Looking Ahead

Now that a very cold Adams Day is behind us (a local event) it's probably not too early to go into more detail about Whitman College's 48th Annual Renaissance Faire.  Events and vendors are set up on Memorial Lawn - in front of the Clock Tower at  Whitman College, Walla Walla, Washington:  April 22nd.  10:00a.m. - 5:00p.m.  Admission is free.  Link:  https://www.whitman.edu/faire/  (sorry) my computer won't cooperate to link properly, thus, you will have to type it in to be able to review a list of events, which area, visitor information, vendor listing, etc.  You will, also, be able to view photos of past Faire's!  It does sound like a fun day.  Confession.  I have never gone and learned about it from a friend that sets up to sell her handcrafted, sculptured jewelry,  DiLa Jewelry.

Now, a sneak preview.  Have you ever been invited to do a challenge?  Well, good friends - mother, daughter team (artist) called and invited me to participate in their challenge to one another.  Each person puts 7 funky, (crazy)  items into a box, and each person then draws out 7 items.  With those initial 7 items one must create an art project of their choice, using additional items and mediums.  Talk about a challenge.  Get out of that "box" and "think!"  Do you see (below) what I have to work with..........and guess what?  I do have an idea and have begun (barely.)  Seems, each of us,  held our heads in despair, at first.  Then, after a couple days of wearing our "thinking hats," without consulting one another, seems we have all decided to create some sort of political statement with our design.  Stay tuned for future updates if your interested in seeing the outcome.

Until next time, stay safe and enjoy your days as best you may.

Look at these!
