A bit of medieval drama at Whitman College Renaissance Faire this past weekend. It was a colorful event with several live performances taking place at once on the lawn in front of the beautiful Clock Tower. Whitman College does have a beautiful campus! There were a variety of craft vendors, also, set up on the street adjacent to the festivities. Strolling among them offered exotic hair braiding, several styles of jewelry (including hand sculptured metal jewelry), woodworking, illustrative, authors (performing with an entrancing dragon, hand puppet), hand-crafted greeting cards,etc. Many of the participants were dressed in period costume adding to the colorful atmosphere. A nice event in a lovely setting!
